Getting Ready for the 2026 Water Season

The weather has finally cooperated, and our team is hard at work cleaning out the ditch from the Truckee River all the way to the end. Barring any unexpected weather delays, we expect to finish this important maintenance by the end of April. That means we’re on track to start water delivery on May 1, providing a full season of reliable water flow through the end of September.

Ditch maintenance is about more than just water management – it’s about safety, preventing flooding, and avoiding problems down the road. Our crew works tirelessly, clearing debris and vegetation, repairing any problems, and ensuring the ditch flows smoothly all season long.

We take great pride in serving our community well and we welcome your questions or feedback as we prepare for another successful year. Here’s to a smooth, uninterrupted water season ahead!
